Description

Do something most people would never dream of. Sign up for this unique running experience, testing trust & teamwork. Partner up, take it in turns to be blindfolded and navigate a 5 or 10km route without your sight.

We’ll send you a training pack with blindfolds and a tether to practice with. You'll also receive an RSBC Blindfold Run t-shirt, bespoke medal and goody bag.

Why take part
Join us in London on Nov 4 and help raise funds to make the future better for blind children. We ask that you raise £200 in sponsorship as a pair. This is enough to provide a blind child with support from the RSBC Family Support Service for an entire year.

Sign up on your own, or buddy up
Sign up as a pair if you already know who you’re running with, or as an individual if you’re still on the lookout for your perfect running buddy. We can find a partner for you too, so one way or another we'll get you across that finish line.

Who can take part
This event is open to anyone at any ability, level and age. Under 18's can enter the 5k with a responsible adult who must run as their sighted guide.

If you're vision impaired, you can register to take part for free - select the 'vision impaired runner entry' option on eventbrite when you sign up.

Get in touch
If you have any questions and would like to speak to a member of the team about the RSBC Blindfold Run, please call us on 0203 794 8287 or email us at blindfoldrun@rsbc.org.uk.

Organised by

No child in the UK should grow up to be poor or lonely just because they are blind. 90% of those who lose their sight in youth won’t work for more than six months in their lives. Most will never have someone to share their life with. The Royal Society for Blind Children believe in a better life for blind children. We are on a mission to make sure every single blind child has the self-belief and skills to fulfil the potential we know they’ve got. Make no mistake – helping blind children to believe they can achieve will take time and money. But we’ll do it from the ground up, working with our wonderful donors and volunteers to deliver the five things we believe will transform the life chances of every blind child in England and Wales.

RSBC’s aim is to be clear when we collect your data and not to do anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect. Your details are held on our database and we use this to process donations and any eligible Gift Aid. We will contact you from time to time to inform you about our work and/or ways you can help but only by the methods and the purposes for which you agree. For more details please see our full privacy policy at www.rsbc.org.uk/info/terms-and-conditions.html or request a copy from our supporter care team on 020 3198 0223 or by emailing supporter.care@rsbc.org.uk
